Why do we do Accreditation?
By highlighting what we do well, and focusing on areas that need more attention, we are better able to experience outcomes that reduce risk and improve the quality of care we provide.
Accreditation Canada provides an independent, third-party assessment of the organization and is conducted every four years. It is the most common type of accreditation used for health care. Accreditation is an important part of evaluating the quality and safety of the services we provide. It also helps us improve on everything we do.
Accredited with Commendation
Following the 2021 on-site survey by Accreditation Canada, Hearing and Speech Nova Scotia was Accredited with Commendation. This means that we met 98% of the standards.
