Hearing and Speech

Make a Difference

Every person deserves a voice.
Every voice deserves to be heard.

Every day, over 100 audiologists, speech-language pathologists and technicians come to work at one of the 33 Nova Scotia Hearing and Speech Centres (NSHSC) across the province with a single goal in mind - to help their clients achieve an enhanced quality of life.

One of the best parts about working and volunteering for the Foundation is meeting some of the people whose lives have been changed.   It is a privilege when they share their stories of the impact of living with a communication challenge and then the hope that was offered to them by the wonderful and caring professionals at the centres.

Renowned poet, educator and author Dr. Maya Angelou eloquently sums it up . . .

"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you."

The Nova Scotia Hearing and Speech Foundation recognizes and appreciates the generosity  of individuals, businesses and organizations that contribute to the work of Nova Scotia Hearing and Speech Centres.

Thank you for helping us ensure that all Nova Scotians have a voice and that those voices are heard.
